Charge your BikeFinder: G1 and G2

Modified on Mon, 12 Oct at 1:47 PM

G1 and G2 use different charging connections. Use the cable supplied for your model and charge between 0°C and 45°C.

G1 charging

Use the supplied G1 USB-C cable with a 5 V USB power supply rated at 0.5–2 A. Follow the G1 manual.

The manual’s 2–15 minute estimate describes how long a newly powered G1 may take to become ready for pairing. It does not mean the battery is fully charged.

G2 charging

  1. Connect the battery module to the tracker until it clicks into place. The battery must stay connected to the tracker when charging with the supplied G2 cable.
  2. Use the supplied G2 cable with a 5 V USB power supply rated at least 0.5 A.
  3. Align the cable’s tactile marker with the BikeFinder logo.
  4. Charge for at least two hours, regardless of the indicated battery level.

Use the app to check charging and operational status. Follow the G2 manual for connecting or removing the battery module with the supplied tool.

Battery life

Battery life depends on use, positioning activity, tracker mode, and temperature. Check the battery level in the app rather than relying on one fixed runtime for every mode or model.

For problems charging, see Troubleshoot battery and charging problems.

If you have insurance, check the current policy requirements before changing tracker settings or removing it from your bike.
