Charging your tracker in cold weather

Modified on Mon, 12 Oct at 1:42 PM

Both G1 and G2 must be charged between 0°C and 45°C. If your bike is stored in a cold garage or outdoors, bring it into a suitable environment before charging.

Use the instructions for your model

  • G1: use the supplied USB-C cable and a 5 V power supply rated at 0.5–2 A.
  • G2: for the documented charging procedure, connect the battery module to the tracker and use the supplied G2 cable with a 5 V power supply rated at least 0.5 A. Charge for at least two hours, regardless of the indicated battery level.

See the G1 and G2 charging guide for the connections and model-specific instructions.

If the tracker needs to be removed

Use the supplied tools and follow the manual for your model. Reinstall it according to that manual and check its latest positions in the app before relying on it for tracking.

Keep the bike secure while its tracker is removed. If you have insurance, check the policy requirements for charging, installation, and any interruption in tracking.

If it still will not charge in the permitted temperature range, follow the charging troubleshooting guide.
