First check which tracker model you have. G1 uses its supplied USB-C cable; G2 uses its own cable with the battery module connected to the tracker for the documented charging procedure.
Check these items first
- Use the original charging cable for your model.
- Check the power supply: G1 requires 5 V / 0.5–2 A; G2 requires 5 V / at least 0.5 A.
- Charge between 0°C and 45°C.
- Check that the charging connection is correctly aligned and fully connected.
- If available, try another USB power supply that meets your model’s requirements.
For G2
Make sure the battery module clicks into the tracker. Align the cable’s tactile marker with the BikeFinder logo and charge for at least two hours. Check status in the app rather than interpreting the lights.
For G1
Follow the G1 charging instructions. A newly powered tracker can take 2–15 minutes before it is ready to pair; that is not a full-charge estimate.
Open the manual for your model for the illustrated connection and charging steps.
Still need help?
Contact BikeFinder Support. Include your model, account email, IMEI if available, the power supply rating, how long you charged it, and what the app shows. A photo of the cable connection can help.
