Phone notification sounds

Modified on Mon, 12 Oct at 2:39 PM

This guide concerns notifications on your phone. A sound played by your phone is separate from any sound emitted by a physical tracker.

Check the available app options

Review the notification or alert options shown in your BikeFinder app and follow any permission request. The options available to you depend on your installed app and phone.

An ordinary notification permission does not guarantee that every alert will override silent mode, Focus, or Do Not Disturb.

iPhone

Open Settings → Notifications → BikeFinder. Check Allow Notifications, alert styles, and Sounds where available. Also review silent mode, alert volume, and Focus.

Special alert permissions, where an app offers them, have separate requirements. See Apple's notification guidance for sound and alert controls.

Android

Find BikeFinder in your phone's app notification settings. Check that the relevant notification category is allowed and set to alert rather than remain silent.

Review its sound, volume, and Do Not Disturb settings. Names and available controls vary by phone; see Google's notification guide.

Need help?

Follow the phone-notification setup guide. If you still need help, contact support with your phone model, system version, app version, and the settings you see.
