Set up notifications in both the BikeFinder app and your phone. Available alert options depend on your installed app, tracker model, and phone.

Start in the BikeFinder app

Sign in to the account for your tracker and select the intended tracker. For movement alerts, choose Security mode where available and review the notification options offered by your app.

Allow phone notifications when the app requests permission. See tracker modes for the available mode purposes.

iPhone

  1. Open Settings → Notifications → BikeFinder.
  2. Enable Allow Notifications and choose where alerts appear: Lock Screen, Notification Center, or banners.
  3. Review Sounds if available, and check Focus or Scheduled Summary if alerts arrive late.

Show Previews controls how much notification content is visible. Choosing Always is not required to enable notifications; you can keep the preview setting you prefer.

See Apple's notification settings guide for the controls on your iPhone.

Android

Open your phone's Settings → Notifications → App notifications and find BikeFinder. Allow its notifications and review the available notification categories. Menu names vary by phone and Android version.

Check whether the relevant category is set to alert or remain silent, along with its sound and Do Not Disturb settings. See Google's notification guide for your device.

Still missing alerts?

Check the selected tracker, account, mode, app notification options, and phone permissions. Review Focus or Do Not Disturb and any manufacturer notification restrictions.

For sound settings, read phone notification sounds.

If you still need help, contact support with your tracker model, phone model, system version, app version, and a screenshot of the relevant settings.
